HUC was misinterpreted by some, misrepresented to others, which misguided the rest!
The Right to Freedom of Speech in our courty has been exercised frequently but not responsibly.
Everyone should respect each others opinion.
I respect those people who oppose HUC but I strongly believe in the purpose of HUC so I vote for YES!
Some people tried to make "HUC" look really bad for the people.
The "NO to HUC movement is not really campaigning against HUC but against the people behind HUC
* The PALARONG PAMBANSA is always drag in whole campaign * Elective Officials of the Provinces whose from Tacloban and Elective Officials of the City whose not from Tacloban * Sangyaw vs. Pintados * Dragging the issue about Phasing MCH out * Demolition of the illegal dwellers w/c is even clearly stated in the Local code that the city can't remove the illegal dwellers unless there is a relocation site. * Deri pa NAPAPANHON, eventohugh the city qualified for the requirements of HUC! so, when is the right time?
By the end of the day, it is not the NO to HUC who will addRESS the problem but the still the city ..

Tacloban is now a highly urbanized city
Tacloban is now a Highly Urbanized City. The people of Tacloban have spoken. They are for Tacloban's conversion from a component city to highly urbanized city.
On dec. 18th at exactly 10:40 Thursday night, Tacloban officially joined an elite list of highly urbanized cities, the first in Eastern Visayas.
City elections officer Susan Collamar said the proclamation of Tacloban as a highly urbanized city was "historical" due to the record number of voters who went to the polling precincts during the plebiscite.
