Hi guys,

I've been doing some research online and I'm trying to figure out which place is more worth checking out.

Marabut in Samar or Canigao Island which is in Matalom, Leyte or Biliran.

Ha-in it mas harani?

How long will it take to get to each place? I was thinking of just a day trip, you know.

I'm more interested in a day out at the beach with my cousins, I've seen the pix posted by that Gerry Ruiz guy and Canigao looks really tranquil.... clean, crystal clear water etc. :yehey:

Naisip ko lang yung Biliran bcoz my cousin's been there and checked out the waterfalls, nag swimming sila.

ALthough I'm more interested in swimming at a beach than waterfalls.

Basta it maupay ngan harani.

Thanks in advance for your advice. :thx:

^_^

p.s. I'm new to this forum. Cheers!

Hi Lady Sith,

First of all a nice and warm :signwelcome: to the forum :) ,

I don't know that much about the places that you've mentioned,

but I know just the right person to ask: you could try to send firelady a private message.

She's a member of this forum and also owns a guesthouse here in Tacloban City. She knows a lot about the surrounding islands and the nearby places. I'm sure she would love to help you with your request.

Well, there are two nice places in Marabut that I know: First is the CALUWAYAN PALM ISLAND RESORT and second is the JASMIN BEACH RESORT with their floating cottages.

So, happy travels,

cheers..

Ive been to Marabut and its nice-1.5-2hrs from Tacloban...

Biliran Isalnd itself, been there also...you can try Agta Beach resort or my personal favorite, you can go cross to Higatangan Island-30min pumpboat from Naval. Baga hin Boracay...somewhat...I think you have to reserve in advance if you want to stay overnight...lights go off at 10PM since they are only using a generator. You can explore the whole Island in a day by foot. By morning you can go diving with the fishes...Nice view i must say...

I havent been to Canigao Island so i cant share anything about it though...
