:dancing03: Maybe we should find out what would it take to get the airport started? And just how keen are we? A new airport is a great gateway for a thriving city.

I think there are probably about 1400 passengers departing each day. If the departure tax was raised to P100, this would raise P50m each year. Surely this would be enough to finance the loan to build the airport?

Since the return airfare to Manila is between about p2500 and p5400, surely we would be prepared to spend p100 for a new airport?[/color]

The groundbreaking has been done .. The new airport will come .. !!

The question is not if, the question is when it will come .. !! :dancing04: :jump04:

The Airport is suposed to be finished within 3 years .. !!

you can look up the related news here:
http://www.taclobancityforum.com/tacloban-dzr-airport-modernization-2-be-completed-in-3-years-t525.html

The rehabilitation of the Tacloban Airport has been in the pipeline for the past 10 years. When completed, the DZR airport will become one of the country's secondary international airports.
