There was a proposed condominium in Tacloban called "Sunrise Condominium." One major design flaw I noticed in the floor plan is the absence of an enclosed fire exit stairs, not to mention other things. If a fire breaks out in the 2nd floor, for example, the occupants in the upper floors will be trapped, except that the only way out is thru the windows. You cannot use an elevator in case of fire. This is a 7 story building and I don't think the City has modern fire equipment for rescue of people in tall buildings. This is one big POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD that I hope the City Building Offical will not give them a building permit id this is not properly addressed.
